Description

You will design, develop, and optimize SQL-based data solutions to support business reporting, analytics, and operational systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions across relational databases.
• Optimize query performance through indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and code refactoring.
• Develop and maintain data models and database schemas using normalization and star/snowflake structures.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform code reviews, and document technical specifications for database objects.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to support ETL/ELT processes and ensure data integrity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar data engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL, PL/SQL, or ANSI SQL syntax and advanced query construction.
• Deep experience with relational database management systems including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including normalization, dimensional modeling, and schema design.
• Proven ability to perform performance tuning, identify bottlenecks, and optimize execution plans.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and DevOps practices for database development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure SQL, Snowflake, or AWS.
• Familiarity with ETL tools (SSIS, Alteryx, Knime) and scripting languages like Python.
• Exposure to BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) and enterprise-scale data environments.
