Description

You will lead the technical conversion of SAS codebases into optimized Oracle PL/SQL.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing SAS code, including macros and data steps, to design technical conversion plans.
• Rewrite SAS logic into Oracle PL/SQL, ensuring accurate translation and optimization for Oracle architecture.
• Execute parallel testing to validate that converted PL/SQL produces identical results to the original SAS code.
• Optimize PL/SQL code to meet or exceed original performance benchmarks.
• Document the new architecture through data flow diagrams, architecture diagrams, and code annotations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SAS programming.
• Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development and SQL.
• Proficiency in Oracle database environments and development tools.
• Strong background in data modeling, database design, and schema creation in Oracle.
• Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and database management.
• Proven ability to perform performance tuning and optimization in Oracle.
• Demonstrated experience managing project timelines and technical delivery.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to handle sensitive data following industry security and compliance standards.
• Experience providing training and knowledge transfer to development teams.
