Description

You will lead the design, development, and management of database systems and software applications in Peoria, IL (Remote).

Responsibilities

• Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems.
• Direct database development and define project scope, limitations, and resource requirements.
• Implement security measures to protect information in computer files against unauthorized access or damage.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and scheduling of new products and system improvements.
• Develop standards and guidelines for software acquisition and information protection.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in software or database development.
• Proficiency with SQL and VisualBasic.
• Deep knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, and delivery.
• Experience with business/systems analysis and functional specification authoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement system changes to resolve them.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware and software systems.
• Proven ability to mentor staff and provide constructive performance feedback.
• Strong independent time management and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
