Description

You will design, develop, and optimize database systems across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement normalized database schemas using data modeling principles.
• Develop complex T-SQL and PL/pgSQL functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Optimize SQL queries and perform deep-dive performance tuning.
• Build and orchestrate data workflows using Apache Airflow, Dagster, or Dagit.
• Implement database security best practices and support administration tasks like backup, recovery, and replication.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database development and design.
• Expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL architectures.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or Dagster/Dagit for workflow orchestration.
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, EBS, and SQS.
• Experience with Amazon RDS.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platform core services.
