Description

Manage and optimize SQL Server environments with a focus on data warehouse design and high-availability performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement data warehouse environments and complex physical/logical data models.
• Perform performance tuning by reviewing monitoring tools, query execution plans, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Develop normalized database solutions, including stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexes.
• Manage database upgrades, migrating older versions to SQL Server 2016 and interfacing with source control.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SQL jobs, SSIS packages, and data load scripts to ensure timely data delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, and 2016.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Experience designing, tuning, and indexing tables and complex database queries.
• Hands-on experience with VMware environments.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS systems administration, networks, firewalls, and servers.
• Strong SQL scripting skills for data loading and maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate with application developers on database architecture and design.
• Proven ability in production support and managing the impact of issues on DB performance.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Postgres or Oracle.
• Experience with Snowflake, DynamoDB, or other NoSQL databases.
