Description

You will own the administration, performance, and reliability of our SQL Server database infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain relational database environments following industry standards.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query refinement.
• Manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Implement and enforce database security controls, including access management and auditing.
• Drive automation initiatives using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other tools to streamline DBA tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA or Developer in enterprise settings.
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL for complex query development and indexing.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture, internals, and HA solutions (AlwaysOn, clustering).
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and monitoring.
• Solid grasp of database security best practices (authentication, encryption).
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Familiarity with backup and recovery frameworks, including Ola Hallengren’s scripts.
• Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
