Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server environments across on-premises and Azure cloud platforms. You own the technical design, storage configuration, and backup/recovery procedures for integrated databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated databases, including data modeling and technical design for new or modified systems.
• Write and maintain database programming using stored procedures, triggers, and similar approaches.
• Monitor performance and perform ongoing database tuning to optimize availability and transactions.
• Manage installations, version upgrades, and support for development, test, and production environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Expert knowledge of SQL Server and Windows Server.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform, specifically SQL Managed Instance and Azure Storage accounts.
• Practical experience implementing High Availability using Always-on.
• Proficiency in SQL and Azure security fundamentals.
• Experience with entity-relationship diagrams and relational database development tools.
• Knowledge of Structured Analysis and Design techniques, data dictionaries, and database schemas.
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and model corporate data and associated interfaces.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python.
• Microsoft technology certifications.
