Description

You will lead a team of DBAs to ensure the performance, availability, and security of critical SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server instances across production, development, and testing environments.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, including regular drills and data replication.
• Optimize database performance through index management, query tuning, and bottleneck identification.
• Automate routine administration tasks using T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Manage PeopleSoft application deployments, security controls, and database-tier troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of DBAs.
• In-depth knowledge of Transact-SQL (T-SQL) programming.
• Hands-on experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions like clustering, mirroring, and log shipping.
• Strong understanding of database security best practices, including access control and encryption.
• Proficiency with database performance monitoring and optimization tools.
• Experience with automation scripting using T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PeopleSoft administration.
• Microsoft SQL Server certifications (MCSA, MCSE: Data Management and Analytics).
• Cloud platform certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Azure Administrator.
