Description

You will manage and optimize MS SQL Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for production systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide platform-level support for MS SQL Server environments, including patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues such as deadlocks, blocking, and resource bottlenecks.
• Establish and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions using Always On, Mirroring, and Replication.
• Implement SQL maintenance jobs, backup strategies, and support Azure PaaS & IaaS cloud migration initiatives.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and resolve database access requests and compliance remediation tasks.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with SQL Server Technologies.
• 3+ years working specifically with MS SQL Server 2016 and 2017.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing database systems.
• Proficient in configuring and maintaining HADR solutions (Always On, Mirroring).
• Experience supporting databases in production and non-production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud migration for databases.
• Strong analytical and incident management skills in complex SQL Server environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Very Large Databases (VLDB) ranging from 10GB to 5TB.
• Exposure to capacity planning and automation of DBA activities.
