Description

You will manage, optimize, and maintain MS SQL Server environments to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain database maintenance plans including backups, index rebuilds, defragmentation, and statistics updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integrity issues, performance bottlenecks, blocking, and deadlocks.
• Implement Query Store, table partitioning, and Always On encryption features.
• Administer SQL Server installations, upgrades, migrations, and server configurations.
• Monitor database alerts and participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in a SQL Server environment.
• 6+ years of experience with Transact-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS package development.
• 4+ years of SQL Server database development and programming experience.
• Proficiency in performance tuning to resolve CPU, memory, and disk I/O bottlenecks.
• Experience administering SQL Server versions 2008 through 2019.
• Knowledge of high availability strategies including clustering, log shipping, mirroring, and replication.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and disk configurations.
• Ability to use monitoring and diagnostic tools for proactive management.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
