Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server environments at a mid to senior level.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and rewrite inefficient queries to improve performance.
• Diagnose and resolve blocking, deadlocks, and concurrency issues.
• Manage and tune database statistics for accurate query planning.
• Apply advanced indexing strategies to optimize data retrieval.
• Tune workloads for high concurrency and manage transaction isolation levels.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on SQL Server experience.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server query processing, memory management, and I/O.
• Proficiency in analyzing execution plans and understanding the query processor architecture.
• Expertise in indexing (clustered, non-clustered, filtered, columnstore) and INCLUDE columns.
• Knowledge of how SQL Server uses statistics for cardinality estimation.
• Ability to tune workloads for high concurrency.
• Experience managing transaction isolation levels.
