Description

You own the administration, performance, and availability of SQL Server environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization for SQL Server 2016–2022.
• Execute database maintenance including DBCC checks, index rebuilds, and cleanup strategies.
• Manage backup/restore procedures and maintain high availability/disaster recovery solutions.
• Implement SQL security, Role-Based Access Control, and database hardening.
• Administer SQL Agent jobs, ETL schedules, and batch imports.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience administering SQL Server.
• Proficiency with SQL and performance monitoring tools like SQL Profiler or Extended Events.
• Experience with large transactional databases, ideally in retail or hospitality.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, specifically SSIS.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience managing environments involving complex retail or multi-property operations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of disaster recovery and backup strategy refinement.
