Description

Manage, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases in high-availability, Active-Active environments. Lead migrations of on-premises databases to AWS (RDS, EC2) and ensure 24/7 production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and support SQL Server AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering.
• Execute on-premises to AWS cloud migrations, including RDS and EC2 instances.
• Automate routine tasks like monitoring, backups, and performance tuning using PowerShell or T-SQL.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
• Troubleshoot complex performance, security, and availability issues in a production capacity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in SQL Server clustering and AlwaysOn availability groups.
• Proven experience migrating on-premises databases to AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and EC2.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell for automation and scripting.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with database design, development, and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery protocols.
