Description

Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server databases, including configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
• Implement and manage Always On Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Automate administrative tasks, monitoring, and deployments using PowerShell and SQL Server modules like SQLPS and dbatools.
• Manage SQL Agent jobs, schedules, and command-line integrations.
• Oversee database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of database administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server DBMS.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server logs, events, log files, datafiles, and recoverability.
• Hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and integration with SQL Server.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery techniques.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams administration.
• Understanding of M365 security and governance principles.

Preferred Skills

• B.S. in Computer Science or related degree.
• Experience with SQL Server PowerShell modules for advanced automation.
