Description

You will act as the Subject Matter Expert for the SLDS data warehouse, directing data administration and management methods to support database modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple SQL Server instances and collection environments including Development, QA, Pre-Release, and Production.
  • Design and implement physical and logical relational database models and data dictionaries.
  • Execute the transition of ETL processes from on-premise to cloud servers.
  • Monitor and upgrade server infrastructure, perform performance tuning, and manage database security and recovery procedures.
  • Coordinate physical database changes using SQL to define objects via DDL and control access via DCL.

Required Skills

  • 12 or more years of experience in database administration or a related field.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server database support.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Database Services.
  • Proficiency in SQL Data Modeling (logical and physical).
  • Extensive ETL experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, including DDL and DCL.
  • Experience managing SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) servers.
  • Ability to perform disaster recovery, security monitoring, and hardware/software failure recovery.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
