Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server environments to support data warehousing and application development in Malden, MA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement data warehouse environments and complex physical/logical data models.
• Perform performance tuning by reviewing monitoring tools, query execution plans, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Develop normalized database solutions, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexes.
• Manage database upgrades from older versions to supported SQL Server versions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SQL jobs, integration service packages, and data load scripts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing SQL Server versions including 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Experience with database planning, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience managing complex database setups and upgrades using source control for maintenance scripts.
• Practical experience working within a VMware environment.
• Sound knowledge of firewalls, networks, and server administration.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS systems administration.
• Ability to provide production support and understand the impact of issues on overall DB performance.
