Description

Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance databases.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain on-premises Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud databases.
• Execute database installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Monitor performance and perform continuous query tuning and database optimization.
• Develop and implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot database issues, ensure security compliance, and participate in on-call rotations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure cloud platforms.
• Direct experience with Azure Managed Instance and Azure Storage accounts.
• Proven experience implementing High Availability using Always On.
• Deep knowledge of database security fundamentals and SQL.
• Strong logical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python.
• Microsoft technology certifications.
