You will manage, optimize, and migrate SQL Server environments on AWS.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead database migration projects from legacy versions to SQL Server 2022, covering assessment, planning, testing, and implementation.
• Ensure database performance, stability, and security across production environments hosted on AWS.
• Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune SQL Server performance within AWS infrastructure.
• Automate routine database tasks using PowerShell and AWS CLI scripts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server versions (2008 through 2022).
• Proven experience leading migrations to SQL Server 2022.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL for querying and optimization.
• Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong understanding of AWS services like RDS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Experience with SQL Server clustering, Always On Availability Groups, and replication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
