Description

You will manage and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server database environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL and SQL Server database systems.
• Implement streaming and logical replication, failover mechanisms, and backup strategies using pg_dump or pgBackRest.
• Analyze logs to resolve slow queries, deadlocks, memory bottlenecks, and disk I/O issues.
• Manage role-based access control and ensure database security compliance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including partitioning, large datasets, and extensions.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle Database.
• Strong Linux systems management skills, specifically RHEL.
• Automation experience using Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EnterpriseDB, pgwatch2, Pgpool, or PgBouncer.
• Proficiency with Ansible, Git, and query performance optimization.
