Description

You will administer and maintain MS SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain MS SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks like index maintenance, optimization, and query tuning.
• Monitor MS SQL Server performance and resource utilization, resolving bottlenecks.
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls and encryption.
• Plan and execute MS SQL Server upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience administering MS SQL Server.
• Proficiency in SQL Server Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
• Experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Database Mirroring, and Log Shipping.
• Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies (full, differential, transaction log).
• Experience implementing database security auditing and compliance.
• Understanding of database migration tools and techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
