Description

You will convert legacy VB validation logic into optimized T-SQL for a data modernization project.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate VB-based validation logic from legacy data portals into optimized SQL statements.
• Develop and maintain Transact-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Code specific modules to meet established coding standards and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with business users and IT staff to review and interpret legacy code.

Required Skills

• 4+ years developing Transact-SQL (T-SQL) queries, including complex joins, views, and stored procedures.
• 4+ years developing data-intensive applications with SQL database back-ends.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and T-SQL within SQL Server environments.
• Ability to interpret and translate Visual Basic (VB) logic.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Visual Basic programming language.
• Knowledge of various SDLC methodologies.
• Experience defining coding standards or coaching junior programmers.
