Description

Manage and optimize MSSQL environments across hosted, IaaS, and Azure cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain availability and performance for MSSQL 2016–2022 in Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL VMs.
• Design and troubleshoot real-time issues focusing on high availability, replication, and scalability.
• Monitor application databases and queries to suggest and apply continuous performance tuning.
• Resolve priority incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative actions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in MS SQL Database (2016 through 2022).
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Azure SQL Database, and Managed Instance.
• Proficiency with IaaS SQL Virtual Machines in Azure.
• Deep understanding of Always On high availability configurations.
• Experience with database encryption and security standards.
• Strong skills in database performance analysis and tuning of database instances.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance.
