Description

Lead a team of DBAs and own the SQL Server database infrastructure, including HA/DR strategies and performance tuning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a small team of DBAs, establishing best practices and guiding daily operations.
• Develop and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies to meet application RTO/RPO targets.
• Conduct enterprise modernization and upgrade programs while identifying and escalating operational risks.
• Support developers with complex SQL development, DML tuning, and stored procedure optimization.
• Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure database environment stability.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant database experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Expertise with SQL Server, SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in database tuning, generating traces, analyzing execution plans, and resolving deadlocks.
• Experience with database tooling such as OpsRamp, SQL Sentry, or Embarcadero DB/Artisan.
• Ability to manage audit, compliance, or regulatory interactions and push back on misaligned demands.
• Familiarity with large financial services or similarly complex enterprise environments.
