Description

You will focus on improving the speed and stability of existing SQL databases as a short-term contractor.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot SQL performance issues and instability in production.
• Implement performance enhancements and indexing fixes to resolve bottlenecks.
• Analyze database metrics and suggest architectural improvements.
• Document findings and communicate technical insights to internal stakeholders.
• Manage short-term priorities independently within tight timeframes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with SQL.
• Proven proficiency in SQL performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and fix slow queries and indexing inefficiencies.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting within production environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in New York, NY, 3-4 days per week.
• Any graduate degree.
