Description

You will own the administration, maintenance, and performance of SQL-Sybase database systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, tune, implement, and upgrade DBMS environments including SAP ASE/Sybase, Redis, and Postgres.
• Write and deploy SQL patches and manage schema creation, deployment, and maintenance.
• Monitor system health, work processes, users, logs, and disk space to ensure production uptime.
• Execute backup, recovery, tuning, and security protocols to meet service level agreements.
• Troubleshoot platform-specific performance issues, debug scripts, and handle replication failover.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Database Administration.
• Expertise in installation, upgrade, and patching of SAP ASE/Sybase, Redis, and Postgres.
• Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Advanced skills in SQL, Python, Shell, and Ansible.
• Experience designing new databases based on data storage needs and user load.
• Proven ability in database replication setup and defect analysis.
