Description

You will act as a SQL Server DBA in a complex environment, collaborating with Oracle DBAs across Azure and Solaris/RHEL platforms. You will lead application development teams in the optimal use of database technology, establish standards, and manage SQL Server installations, migrations, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead application teams in database and transaction management technology usage.
• Establish database standards and conduct walkthroughs of critical application components.
• Manage SQL Server installations, migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Execute performance tuning, backup/recovery, and performance-oriented design.
• Maintain SQL Server Always On Availability configurations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
• 2+ years of experience as an Oracle database DBA.
• Expertise in SQL Server installations, migrations, and upgrades.
• In-depth knowledge of RDBMS, T-SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Windows Server environments and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
• Proficiency with SSRS, SSIS, SSMA, and Redgate SQL tools.
• Working knowledge of DevOps, Webservices, and Oracle in Solaris/RHEL.
• Microsoft Certified Professional (DBA - MS SQL) certification.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
