Description

Own the development, migration, and performance tuning of S/4HANA custom code and ABAP applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize ABAP programs using modern Open SQL, including joins, expressions, inline declarations, and aggregations.
• Design and implement CDS views, annotations, and associations to support Fiori and reporting needs.
• Perform code pushdown to the database layer using AMDP and SQLScript for complex logic.
• Remediate ECC custom programs for S/4HANA, addressing simplification items and replacing obsolete tables.
• Tune performance using ST05, SAT, and SQL Monitor, ensuring efficient data processing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in ABAP development.
• Deep knowledge of S/4HANA architecture and custom code remediation.
• Proficiency in modern Open SQL and avoiding row-by-row processing.
• Experience with CDS views, annotations, and basic/interface/consumption views.
• Ability to write AMDP and SQLScript for database-side logic.
• Strong skills in performance tuning and SQL trace analysis.
• Experience with ATC checks and adapting code for S/4HANA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Fiori development and UI5 integration.
