Description

Engineer and document telecommunication transmission systems to deliver voice, video, data, and wireless services across converged networks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement projects delivering services from DS-0 through DWDM, including Native Ethernet and IP Services over fiber and coaxial lines.
• Develop detailed network designs, engineering specifications, and Methods of Procedure (MOP).
• Analyze network vulnerabilities and develop action plans to minimize risks.
• Manage customer service order queues and complete tasks within established SLAs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
• Deep technical knowledge of DWDM, SONET, TDM, and Ethernet.
• Experience designing and implementing IP services over fiber and coaxial infrastructure.
• Ability to perform network capacity analysis and reporting using operational measurement data.
• Proven track record of managing circuit engineering and deployment plans for new business circuits.
• Experience with network equipment evaluation and hardware/software upgrade recommendations.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to prepare cost estimates and technical specifications for service delivery.
