You will perform static structural analysis for complex gas turbine engine components and systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze stress, strength, vibration, heat transfer, deflection, fatigue life, and containment.
- Design, develop, and test static structural components to meet life, cost, weight, and durability requirements.
- Create design solutions for new and existing products using complex analyses and hand calculations.
- Present analytical results in design reviews and document findings for program deliverables.
- Collaborate with design teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and chief engineers.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling and CAD.
- Experience with Solidworks or Siemens NX.
- Strong understanding of solid mechanics, dynamics, fatigue, and finite element analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Ability to perform complex analyses and hand calculations of engine components.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
