Description

You will perform static structural analysis for complex gas turbine engine components and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze stress, strength, vibration, heat transfer, deflection, fatigue life, and containment.
  • Design, develop, and test static structural components to meet life, cost, weight, and durability requirements.
  • Create design solutions for new and existing products using complex analyses and hand calculations.
  • Present analytical results in design reviews and document findings for program deliverables.
  • Collaborate with design teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and chief engineers.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling and CAD.
  • Experience with Solidworks or Siemens NX.
  • Strong understanding of solid mechanics, dynamics, fatigue, and finite element analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Ability to perform complex analyses and hand calculations of engine components.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
