Description

Design and develop core Flight Management System (FMS) software using C++ and object-oriented principles.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable software solutions for flight planning, navigation, and guidance systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, integrate systems, and support new product development.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with safety-critical standards such as DO-178C.
• Support system integration and testing in lab environments to ensure reliability and performance of FMS applications.
• Continuously improve software design, architecture, and development practices.

Required Skills

• 8–15 years of experience in software development with hands-on Flight Management Systems (FMS) development.
• Strong expertise in C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Proven experience in FMS software architecture and design.
• Hands-on experience with FMS functional areas including flight planning, navigation, guidance, and performance.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of safety-critical standards, specifically DO-178C.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
