Description

You will lead a team of UNIX/Linux system administrators in managing enterprise AIX and RHEL environments. You define operational standards, implement automation frameworks, and serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of UNIX/Linux system administrators in managing enterprise AIX and RHEL environments.
• Manage the installation, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of AIX Power Systems and RHEL servers.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible to streamline provisioning, patching, and configuration processes.
• Perform regular security patching, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation to maintain secure infrastructure environments.
• Drive root cause analysis for major incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of UNIX/Linux system administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• 3+ years in a lead or senior-level capacity managing AIX and Red Hat environments.
• Deep expertise in AIX Power Systems, LPAR, VIOS, NIM, and HMC tools.
• Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat Satellite for patch management and system provisioning.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Red Hat Insights, and BigFix.
• Knowledge of security standards including CIS, NIST, SOX, and PCI compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE), or IBM Certified AIX System Administrator certifications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), OpenShift, Kubernetes, and VMware.
