Description

You will own the automated acceptance testing for native Android applications. Your focus is writing high-quality, readable tests that ensure sufficient coverage for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automation tests for Android applications.
• Write clear acceptance tests using Cucumber and implement them in Ruby with Calabash.
• Collaborate with development and test engineering teams to design scalable automation solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and monitor test metrics to communicate status to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and contribute to team success without direct supervision.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in Ruby, including experience with Bundler.
• Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch using Ruby.
• Strong experience with Calabash and Cucumber for mobile testing.
• Proven experience testing native Android applications.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration (Jenkins or GO) and Continuous Deployment (Cradle).
• Proficiency with XML, JSON, and REST for consuming API data feeds.
• Experience using version control systems such as GitHub.
• Strong understanding of TDD, BDD, and DevOps/Continuous Testing environments.

Preferred Skills

• Java experience.
• Experience with E-commerce applications.
• Agile SCRUM experience.
