Description

Own the design, development, documentation, and troubleshooting of internal applications and new Android-based technology projects.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, concise, stable, and unit-tested code that is extensible.
• Implement new features using Agile delivery methodologies and established architectural principles.
• Diagnose complex issues, evaluate resolutions, and execute fixes.
• Communicate technical details with developers, quality engineers, product owners, and project managers.
• Mentor and advise other engineering team members.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Android application development experience.
• Extensive production experience with native Android application development.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Gradle, and the Android SDK.
• Proficiency in building large-scale, complex Android applications optimized for UX and performance.
• Experience with architectural patterns and large-scale mobile projects.
• 2+ years of web services development using REST, JSON, and XML.
• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Experience in Agile software development using continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Familiarity with test-driven development or automated testing tools for mobile.

Preferred Skills

• 7+ years of Android development experience.
• Working knowledge of Telecom technologies such as 5G, CBRS, 4G, or LTE.
