Description

You will own the development, optimization, and release of Android and Fire TV applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy native Android and TV solutions.
• Drive performance optimization, app stability, and profiling efforts.
• Create architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and product roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into functional designs.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience developing Android applications in Java and Kotlin.
• Proven track record of shipping apps to the Google Play and/or Amazon App Store.
• Strong proficiency with Gradle, Android Studio, and standard software design patterns.
• Deep understanding of Android Architecture Components and Material Design.
• Experience with unit testing, TDD, branching patterns, and CI/CD deployment.
• Ability to work within multiple scrum teams in an agile environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating conversations with business partners.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with RxJava or other reactive programming frameworks.
• Experience with multiplatform technologies such as Kotlin Multiplatform or cross-platform development with iOS.
• Experience working with globally distributed or interdisciplinary teams.
