Description

Senior Android Engineer based in Beaverton, OR, responsible for building scalable mobile applications using modern Android architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, efficient Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Implement application features including UI, backend integrations, and local storage.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance, security, and speed.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established patterns.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure application stability.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in Android development.
• Deep proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with modern app architecture patterns (MVI or Clean Architecture).
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and application lifecycle.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party service integration.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development.
• Familiarity with real-time data syncing via WebSocket.
• Knowledge of Jetpack libraries (Navigation, LiveData, ViewModel).
