Description

Build and maintain high-performing native Android applications with a focus on UI and networking performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs using Retrofit 2.
• Write testable code with extensive unit testing and strong quality metrics.
• Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies and complete stories within sprint timelines.
• Conduct code walk-throughs and facilitate technical issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of Android native app development experience using Java or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Deep understanding of Android Architectural Components and MVVM design pattern.
• Advanced knowledge of Retrofit 2 for REST API consumption.
• Expert knowledge of Gradle for build and dependency management.
• Experience with UI implementation using ConstraintLayout.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-based programming using RxJava or Kotlin.
• Proficiency with Git and writing extensive unit tests.
• Experience creating configuration, build, and test scripts for CI environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules.
