Description

You will own the design, development, and lifecycle management of APIs using the Google Apigee Edge platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure API proxies and policies within Apigee Edge.
• Implement API layer features including security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, and monetization.
• Manage and maintain Apigee software components such as Edge Router, Message Processor, and the developer portal.
• Troubleshoot and debug Apigee Edge components and OPDK clusters.
• Write Open API specifications and onboard APIs to the developer portal using Smart Docs or Swagger-UI.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience developing API proxies using the Google Apigee Edge Platform.
• Deep implementation knowledge of policies including Service Callouts, Extensions, Mediation, and OAuth security.
• Proficiency with REST, SOAP, and HTTP standards.
• Experience managing Apigee OPDK on-premise installations and clusters.
• Ability to write JavaScript for Apigee mashup APIs.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Git and Node.js.
• Experience with TLS and multi-tier, mobile/web-based system deployments.
• Strong ability to articulate architecture concepts to developers and management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with logging systems like Splunk, Sumo Logic, ELK stack, or Loggly.
