Description

Design and implement complex IT solutions, focusing on application architecture and cloud integration within the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new applications, cloud technologies, and products for business applicability.
  • Develop and expand the use of existing platforms including Oracle, SQL, Salesforce, Azure, and .NET.
  • Create detailed short-term and long-term implementation plans for new technologies.
  • Advise on disaster recovery planning, execution, and application data classification.
  • Participate in Level of Effort (LOE) and Project Review Committee (PRC) meetings to estimate and evaluate new IT requests.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as an Application Architect.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions in the transportation industry.
  • Active mid-to-advanced cloud certification (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle, Salesforce, ESRI, .NET, PowerBuilder, AASHTOware, and SharePoint.
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Experience with cloud-native applications in MS Azure and container management systems.
  • Ability to design architectures using decoupled, event-based, and API-enabled frameworks.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and security research.
  • Knowledge of system architecture best practices, design patterns, and integration strategies.
