Sr. Automation Engineer

Lead automation engineering initiatives for robotic palletizers, Cobots, and packaging systems. Manage capital projects from feasibility through production start-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of capital projects including development, technical feasibility, execution, and close-out.
• Manage multiple project schedules to ensure on-time delivery and accurate monthly spending forecasts.
• Provide technical direction on engineering alternatives, cost estimates, and requirement interpretation.
• Manage onsite vendors and the procurement process for all aspects of project execution.
• Conduct engineering reviews of project scopes and coordinate vendor Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

Required Skills

• 10-15 years of experience in project, capital, and construction management.
• Proven experience in vendor management and engineering design.
• Expertise in capital budget administration, including purchase requisitioning and purchase order management.
• Proficiency with SAP and MS Project.
• Experience managing complex overhaul and upgrade projects within food, CPG, or pharma industries.
• Ability to develop business cases and technical feasibility plans for plant acceptance.
• Strong negotiation skills to navigate the capital approval process.
• Experience with UL standards.
