Sr. Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, construct and implement highly scalable data management systems, across multiple platform types.
• Solve complex automation challenges and works on complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Conduct the appropriate research, analysis, and experiments to complete the task.
• Provide necessary engineering support and coordination of a prototype build to ensure that new assemblies are completed on time and budget.
• Work Independently to help build Test automation framework and develop automation scripts.
• Assist with executing non-functional testing in terms of performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other systems.

Required Skills

• SQL knowledge preferred
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of AJAX, HTTP, REST, XML, JSON and SQL technologies.
• Good working knowledge of the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Observability & Traceability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Window applications.
• Good presentation, database management and computer skills.
• Strong knowledge of IT platforms and database design.
• Strong knowledge of statistical process control methods and techniques.

Required Experience

• Experience with Automation Testing tools including Selenium.
• Experience with automation testing.
• Proven working experience Java development and object-oriented design.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, Cucumber.
• Experience coding and/or scripting of Python, JavaScript, Perl or Bash programs.
• Experience with testing in an agile workflow utilizing TDD/BDD best practices in a continuous integration environment.
• Experience writing Automated Test Scripts from scratch.
• Experience in an Agile environment.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
