Description

Migrate legacy batch workloads to AWS Batch and enhance the Rapid Data Ingestion platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy batch jobs, scripts, and database procedures to map business logic, dependencies, and operational constraints.
• Re-engineer and migrate on-premises batch workloads into AWS Batch while preserving functionality and meeting SLAs.
• Develop data pipelines and ingestion workflows using Java Spring Batch, Python, SQL, and shell scripting.
• Implement data quality checks, validation routines, and data lineage tracking for audit and integrity requirements.
• Manage job scheduling with Control-M, optimize performance tuning, and support disaster recovery implementation.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java Spring Batch for development and modernization.
• Hands-on AWS experience, specifically AWS Batch and Amazon S3.
• Proficient in SQL, including Oracle SQL and PL/SQL concepts.
• Experience building data engineering solutions using Python.
• Strong shell scripting skills using Bash, KornShell, or similar Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Control-M or equivalent enterprise job scheduling tools.
• Proven track record of migrating legacy batch processing environments to cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and secure engineering practices (least-privilege access).

Preferred Skills

• AWS or Snowflake certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Data Engineering.
