Description

Re-engineer mainframe batch jobs into cloud-native ETL processes using AWS Glue.

Design and code Glue jobs to standards, performing end-to-end testing. Implement solutions using Glue ETL PySpark, SQL, Lambda, Step Functions, and REST APIs. Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to coordinate service needs. Document design specifications and contribute to implementation plans. Develop and integrate custom software solutions using automated deployment technologies.

Responsibilities

• Re-engineer mainframe batch jobs into cloud-native ETL processes.
• Design and code AWS Glue jobs following established standards.
• Implement solutions using PySpark, SQL, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Perform end-to-end testing to ensure requirements are met.
• Document designs and collaborate with infrastructure teams.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6-10 years with a Master's.
• Strong experience in ETL-based development within the SDLC.
• Proficiency in AWS Glue Studio and AWS services.
• Advanced skills in PySpark and Python.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and CodePipeline.
• Experience using Jira for issue tracking.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Db2, JCL, and COBOL.
• Background in mainframe re-engineering.
