Description

Lead the modernization of a core platform from monolithic legacy to cloud-native architecture, driving technical outcomes across 5–6 cross-functional teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with 5–6 teams to align deliverables, unblock dependencies, and influence technical decisions without formal authority.
• Migrate legacy REST workflows to GraphQL and build distributed, cloud-native backend services.
• Own complex initiatives from sparse requirements to production, focusing on SSO authentication platform integration.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and leverage GitHub Copilot to accelerate development velocity.
• Ensure architectural decisions align with business outcomes, prioritizing performance and scalability.

Required Skills

• Expert-level Java (17+) and Python, specifically optimized for AWS Lambda.
• Strong experience with Java Spring Boot and robust GraphQL implementation.
• Deep expertise in AWS stack: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, ECS/EC2, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, and Step Functions.
• Proven experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture; knowledge of AWS SQS/SNS.
• Experience migrating REST APIs and deprecating legacy workflows.
• Proficiency in CI/CD optimization using CloudFormation.
• Strong foundation in cloud-native authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) platforms.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AWS networking fundamentals (VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups).
• Exposure to Aurora DB, Snowflake, or AWS Glue (ETL).
