Description

Lead backend modernization efforts by migrating legacy monolithic services to a distributed, cloud-native architecture while driving cross-team technical alignment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed backend services, migrating legacy REST workflows to GraphQL.
• Coordinate across 5–6 teams to unblock dependencies and influence technical outcomes without formal authority.
• Own complex initiatives from ambiguous requirements to production delivery, focusing on Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and leverage AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate development velocity.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with expert-level Java (17+) and Python optimized for AWS Lambda.
• Strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot and robust GraphQL implementation.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud-native stack: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, ECS/EC2, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, and Step Functions.
• Proven experience with event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, and SNS.
• Experience with legacy REST API deprecation and migration strategies.
• Strong foundation in cloud-native authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) platforms.
• Proficiency with CloudFormation and CI/CD pipeline optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AWS networking fundamentals (VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups).
• Exposure to Aurora DB, Data Lake fundamentals, Snowflake, or AWS Glue (ETL).
