Description

You will build and maintain backend services and data pipelines for a data analytics platform on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code for GCP resources including Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
• Ensure service reliability through automated testing, monitoring, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to define service contracts and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python development.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, including authoring DAGs, operators, and scheduling.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, IAM).
• Experience with containerization using Docker and CI/CD workflows.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Commitment to code quality through automated tests, linting, and type checking.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and serverless architectures.
• Background in event-driven or streaming data systems such as Dataflow or Kafka.
