You will design technical architectures and solution strategies for distributed backend systems, providing guidance to multiple engineering teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable technical solutions and architectures for new initiatives and system enhancements.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to multiple engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Partner with engineering managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Review designs and recommend optimal technical approaches for cloud-native, distributed systems.
• Support teams during implementation to ensure architectural integrity.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in Java, including strong fundamentals and experience designing scalable backend services.
• 5+ years of hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design-level experience with GCP Dataflow, including building and supporting large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures, such as Pub/Sub.
• Proven track record serving as a technical expert or solution design lead across multiple teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in AWS environments alongside GCP.
• Familiarity with Java-based Spring or Spring Boot services.
