Description

You will lead business analysis activities to bridge the gap between business needs and software requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to create detailed as-is and to-be business processes and requirements.
• Transform defined business needs into functional software requirements and use cases.
• Assist business users, project managers, and IT leadership in optimizing solution scope, benefits, and risks.
• Manage expectations of users and management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and review manuals, procedures, and user documentation targeted to specific audiences.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a business analyst.
• Expertise in eliciting requirements through interviewing and active listening.
• Ability to present concepts using process diagrams, role and accountability diagrams, storyboards, or journey maps.
• Experience applying reporting and workflow tools to business applications to improve output.
• Proven ability to create effective requirements documents and review them with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Strong collaboration skills with IT management, staff, contractors, users, and software vendors.
• Strong analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience defining test plans, testing strategies, test cases, and executing test scripts.
• Experience assisting in the definition of roll out, training, and user support plans.
• Previous Government IT experience.
