Description

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with laboratory staff, clinicians, and business stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements.
Analyze current laboratory workflows and recommend process improvements.
Translate business requirements into Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Work with development and QA teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Support implementation, configuration, and optimization of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
Analyze and validate healthcare data exchanged through HL7 v2.x messages (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, etc.).
Coordinate with interface teams to troubleshoot HL7 integration issues.
Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and root cause analysis.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and production deployments.
Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, and sprint planning sessions.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards.



Required Skills
 
Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Strong understanding of Laboratory Information Systems.
Experience supporting clinical laboratory workflows.
Knowledge of specimen lifecycle management.
Familiarity with laboratory operations including:
Healthcare Standards
HL7 Interface Engines (Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf)
HL7 v2.x
HL7 Interface Analysis
ADT
ORM
ORU
SIU
FHIR (preferred)
Business Analysis
