You bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation by defining requirements and validating system solutions.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, define, and document user requirements to meet specific business objectives.
• Partner with development, testing, and project management teams to validate requirements and ensure clarity across departments.
• Validate that proposed technical solutions satisfy business needs and address operational impacts.
• Ensure accurate solution deployment by reviewing problem logs, validating test plans, and assisting with test matrices.
• Mentor less experienced business systems analysts and provide guidance on planning and prioritizing analysis activities.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of IT business analysis experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to use business analysis models to organize information into logical documentation.
• Experience reading and commenting on test plans, test matrices, project plans, and design documents.
• Strong analytical skills to link IT changes to business processes.
• Effective communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate meetings and work sessions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Visio, MS Project, or similar software.
• Data mining experience using DB2, SQL, or other tools.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or HIPAA LOMA certifications.
