Description

You will lead structural design and analysis for large-scale plants and refineries in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis using advanced modeling software.
• Design and analyze foundations for equipment and structures, accounting for load distribution, settlement, and soil conditions.
• Oversee civil site development, including grading, drainage, and infrastructure design.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to select construction materials based on durability, cost, and environmental impact.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards through regular site inspections.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering, specifically within plant and refinery projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or STAAD.Pro.
• Strong working knowledge of ACI and AISC design codes and standards.
• Expertise in structural design and foundation design.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Ability to integrate designs across multiple engineering disciplines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience partnering with project managers to develop schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
